Parcel will be accepting submissions through September 30, 2016.

Please attach only your work; a cover letter can be included in the submission form. We are happy to read simultaneous submissions, but we ask that you withdraw your submission promptly if it is accepted elsewhere.

To withdraw an entire submission, you can simply withdraw via Submittable. For partial withdrawals, please add a note to the "Activity" tab of your submission.

Feel free to query about your submission after three months have passed by emailing us: info [at] parcelmag [dot] org. We ask that you submit only once every six months, unless further work is requested.

Parcel reads fiction all year. We welcome submissions with experimental or traditional leanings, and will also consider shorts, translations and graphic works. Novel-length work is not capable of being considered for publication in Parcel, though we will consider excerpts. We ask that you avoid submitting pieces over 8,000 words in length. Fiction writers are welcome to submit once every six months.

Parcel reads poetry all year. We ask that poets submit no more than five pages of poetry for consideration at one time, and no more than once every six months.

We are looking for poetry that necessitates its chosen genre, so please, do not submit essayistic or novelistic poems unless they prioritize critical aspects of poetics — language, sound, rhythm, form, image, abstraction, and metaphor among these.

Parcel accepts art submissions all year. We consider photography, illustration, digital art, painting, and other media. We ask that artists submit no more than ten images at one time, and artists are welcome to submit once every six months.

Parcel reads nonfiction all year. We publish a variety of nonfiction, but have a special interest in lyric essays and essays that explore innovative forms and structures. Full-length memoir is not capable of being considered for publication in Parcel, though we will consider excerpts. We ask that you avoid submitting pieces over 8,000 words in length. Nonfiction writers are welcome to submit once every six months.
